Job Summary
Conduct intake and orientation for new clients, including explaining rules, filing IDs, and assigning rooms. Perform documented patrols to ensure compliance with site regulations and maintain facility safety. Escort clients to required internal and external meetings, ensuring timely distribution of notices from Social Services. Distribute meals from vendors, manage inventory for unreturned client possessions, and utilize the DHS CARES system to track vacancies and print rosters. Document any incidents occurring during your shift. This role supports asylum-seeking families at Days Inn in Brooklyn, where you collaborate with Social Services to ensure continuity of care.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- FDNY F-02 Fireguard Certificate
- NYC Food Handler's Certification
- Work experience in a residential facility
- Experience and capacity to work with people experiencing homelessness or other disadvantaged people
- Strong relationship and customer service skills
