Job Summary
Conduct client intakes, document orientation and bed assignments, and manage laundering of belongings. Foster a welcoming environment by planning recreational activities, monitoring visitor activity, and maintaining daily logs and curfew violation tracking. Collaborate with supervisors to respond to incidents using Safe Crisis Management, prepare electronic shift summaries, and support daily operations including meal service, fire drills, and escorting clients to appointments. Work full-time days (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) with flexibility for weekends and schedule adjustments.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, HSE, or GED
- Food Handler's Certification
- willingness to obtain Food Handler's Certification within 3 months
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a shelter, security, customer service, or healthcare setting
- Strong crisis intervention, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- ability to respond effectively to urgent situations
- Basic computer proficiency
- strong organizational abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work respectfully with clients from diverse backgrounds
