Job Summary
The Residential Aide ensures the wellbeing and safety of the program’s participants, staff, and the physical environment. Responsibilities include conducting wellness checks, performing facility walkthroughs and perimeter checks, engaging in crisis intervention, maintaining program records, providing excellent customer service, assisting with meal distribution, and communicating important observations to the clinical team. Candidates should have experience working with individuals facing homelessness and those with chronic conditions, and must possess strong communication skills and dependability.
Required Qualifications
- Experience or ability to work with individuals who are unhoused or diagnosed with chronic medical conditions, substance use disorders, or mental health diagnoses
- Experience working with individuals with previous involvement in the criminal legal system
- Experience working in a congregate or residential treatment housing setting
- Previous experience in a security or operations-related role preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Preferably bi-lingual in Spanish
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent or proficient technical skills with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to adapt in a high pace environment
- Dependability and reliability
