Job Summary
Provide direct assistance and support to domestic violence survivors, including walking hallways, ensuring children are safe, and maintaining cleanliness. Respond to new admissions, assist with orientation and intake, and coordinate activities and daily living tasks. Prepare meals and snacks, manage laundry, and facilitate transportation to appointments. Conduct hourly wellness checks and safety rounds during overnight shifts. Maintain accurate shift logs and critical incident reports.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree
- Valid driver's license with less than three points
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Health and Human Services, Social Work, or counseling field
- Two years' experience with mental health/substance abuse
- Domestic Violence/Shelter setting experience
- Oral fluency in Spanish
