Job Summary
Oversee residents in a therapeutic environment by monitoring medication, planning meals, and assisting with daily activities such as hygiene, laundry, and budgeting. Lead community meetings, resolve disputes among residents, and ensure attendance at scheduled health provider appointments. Complete intake paperwork, daily progress notes, and discharge planning in accordance with program guidelines while relaying behavioral changes to supervisors and community care providers. Maintain clean restrooms and common areas, sanitize facilities, and ensure immediate access to care during emergencies. Cooperate with compliance programs, participate in staff training, and uphold HIPAA standards for confidential information.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or the equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Able to climb stairs
- Able to lift at least 25 pounds
- Basic understanding of mental health disorders
- Basic computer skills i.e., Microsoft Office and Zoom
- Exhibits strong organizational skills
- Possesses excellent interpersonal and conversational skills
- Possesses excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Communicates clearly and effectively
- Works calmly and efficiently in a crisis
- Able to complete all forms in personal writing
- Respectful and sensitive to cultural differences
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1 year of experience working with persons with mental illness
- 1 year of education in human services
- combination of education and experience totaling at least 1 year
