Job Summary
Wake and supervise students during weekend shifts, instruct Life Skills and Social Emotional Learning curricula, and support academic work through homework assistance and teacher interaction. Provide a nurturing living environment by accompanying students to meals, enforcing the Student Code of Conduct, and facilitating community service projects and transportation. Serve as a role model while cultivating relationships with students, families, and the college community. Maintain an accessible, supportive environment through active participation in on- and off-campus activities.
Required Qualifications
- Previous child-care experience or supervision of children
- A minimum of an associate's degree
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Computer literate
- Current Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Willingness to drive nine-seat passenger vans
- Ability to walk extensively and climb stairs (up to four flights)
- Ability to stand and sit for long periods
- Ability to reach, stretch, bend, stoop, and carry up to 20 pounds
- Fine motor skills to assist students with dressing (buttons, zippers, shoelaces)
- Ability to respond quickly in emergencies
- Ability to get in and out of a van or school bus
- Ability to drive a van
