Job Summary
Mentor and guide residential students at Loring Job Corps as a Residential Living Assistant. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students in dorm life, monitoring dormitory safety, documenting progress through formal observations, coordinating with families for passes (minor students), serving as a communication link between management and students, providing informal mentoring on stress management and campus living, assisting during injuries or emotional distress, conducting wake-up procedures for overnight shifts, and maintaining dormitory information boards. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license; preferred candidates may hold a B.A./B.S. in a behavioral health field. Shift: Friday–Tuesday overnight (11:30 PM–8:30 AM) with Wednesdays–Thursdays off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Six months’ experience in education or similar field
- Preferred: B.A. or B.S. in behavioral health or related field (not required)
- One year’s experience in education or similar field (preferred)
