Job Summary

Supervise Job Corps trainees in dormitory life by providing daily monitoring of schedules, hygiene, room assignments, and chore completion. Ensure students arrive on time for training, maintain clean and inspection-ready dorms, and facilitate life skills groups covering budgeting, renter's rights, and conflict resolution. Document student progress, input data into PRH systems, and conduct weekly accountability checks while modeling career success standards. Serve as a communication channel between management and students, perform perimeter safety checks, and provide immediate assistance for injuries or crises. Work evening and overnight shifts from 11:30pm to 8:30am with a 10% shift differential in a non-exempt hourly position.

Required Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • One - two years' experience in a related field such as counseling, education, social work, rehabilitation, or vocational guidance
  • Able to complete all mandated training requirements per government and management directives
  • Able to read email daily and reply to messages in a timely manner based on urgency and importance
  • Valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to compose descriptive reports
  • Must be able to use appropriate techniques to implement programmatic activities
  • Must be able to verbally direct individuals and groups
  • Must be able to remedy dysfunctional behavior
  • Must be able to intervene with students in crisis with aggression control/safe physical management restraint techniques
  • Must successfully complete mandated training courses
  • Knowledge of methods needed to instill appropriate behavior as well as work and study habits in adolescent students
  • Knowledge of housekeeping techniques
  • Knowledge of management
  • Ability to read, comprehend, interpret, communicate, and execute instructions fluently in English
  • Ability to effectively relate to trainee population
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to operate office equipment
  • Ability to interact with team members and maintain an effective working relationship with all facility staff and departments
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a behavioral health field from an accredited college or university a plus
