Job Summary
On-call Residential Advisor in Horizon House's Developmental Services Division. Responsibilities include providing care and supervision to residents to ensure a safe and supportive environment, assisting in designing and documenting Individual Program Plans, and advocating resident growth toward independence in self-care, daily living skills, socialization, and community living. Requires ability to lift and assist with residents, possibly drive, and report to work during emergencies. Required Qualifications
- A degree in the social sciences or health care related field and one year of relevant experience in the MH/MR field; prior experience with implementing behavior management plans and/or supports; or a combination of experience, education or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required.
- Very good communication skills, both oral & written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
