Residential Addictions Case Manager (CASAC-T / CASAC)

Job Summary

Conduct client screenings, admissions, and assessments while documenting residents' physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Maintain a rotating caseload by collaborating with the treatment team to develop individualized treatment and discharge plans. Provide individual and group counseling focused on motivation, personal goals, and recovery. Monitor residents for medical, mental health, safety, and security concerns, including administering urine drug screens and breathalyzer testing. Coordinate with emergency services, law enforcement, and community resources as needed. Participate in weekly case conferences, resident meetings, and required trainings. Work Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of 350 CASAC education hours
  • CASAC-T credential
  • CASAC-P credential
  • CASAC credential
  • Valid New York State Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm shift availability

Desired Qualifications

  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Two years of experience in a chemical dependency treatment program
  • Experience providing counseling, case management, or support services in a residential or behavioral health setting
  • Compassionate, patient, and nonjudgmental demeanor
  • Comfort working with individuals experiencing substance use and other life challenges
  • Skill in building trusting, professional relationships
  • Organization and ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Strong communication and team player abilities
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries while providing meaningful support
  • Comfort responding calmly and appropriately in challenging situations
  • Commitment to trauma-informed, person-centered, and recovery-oriented care
