Job Summary
Ambulate residents to activities and dining rooms, assist with personal hygiene tasks like brushing teeth and shaving, and lift residents as needed. Perform daily living support including mobility assistance while maintaining a clean, organized medication area. Collaborate with the Wellness Director, care team, and healthcare providers to support individualized resident care plans. Communicate clearly with residents, families, and staff while ensuring confidentiality and upholding ethics and integrity. Work various hours including weekends and holidays, requiring flexibility for full and part-time 2nd shift roles.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods
- Ability to move comfortably and safely, which can include lifting, bending, stretching, squatting, etc
- Ability to safely support resident mobility and perform physical duties associated with caregiving
- Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends and holidays
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a commitment to high-quality patient care
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and teamwork abilities
- Great time management skills and attention to detail
- Technologically proficient, especially in Microsoft Office and EHR software
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills, especially for clear written documentation
- Sound judgement and a strong ethical foundation in decision-making
