Job Summary
Ensure residents are transported safely to medical appointments, community activities, and other outings. Responsibilities include providing assistance during boarding and exiting vehicles, maintaining vehicle cleanliness and fuel, coordinating transportation schedules, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, maintaining transportation logs, and providing excellent customer service. A compassionate individual with a desire to assist the elderly and the ability to meet various passenger transport needs is essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a transportation, healthcare, or customer service role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to safely operate a passenger transport vehicle (training provided if necessary)
- Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly
- Ability to assist residents with mobility needs, including wheelchairs and walkers
