Resident Transition Coordinator

Job Summary

Serve as the primary point of contact for residents throughout the collections and eviction process, addressing questions and concerns professionally. Assist in coordinating the eviction process, including pre-eviction notices, legal filings, and court proceedings, while maintaining an organized tracking system to monitor case progression. Ensure all activities comply with landlord-tenant laws, fair housing regulations, and company policies by working closely with legal counsel to prepare documentation. Coordinate with contractors and vendors for property clean-outs, lock changes, and turnover services post-eviction. Provide regular reporting for management including status updates and risk assessments associated with eviction cases and take proactive steps to protect company assets. Travel for court hearings, property assessments, or other job-related tasks as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Friendly and welcoming demeanor with the ability to maintain professionalism and a strong customer-focused demeanor with demanding clientele.
  • Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, along with advanced conflict resolution skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills and proficient in English.
  • Must be able to articulate needs and convey information verbally and in writing effectively with employees, customers, supervisors, and co-workers throughout the organization.
  • Knowledge of management methods and sound employee relations techniques with an ability to connect to staff, troubleshoot problems and help teams collaborate, as necessary.
  • Able to work in an equitable, inclusive, and diverse environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to handle sensitive resident interactions professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple departments.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • 2+ years of experience in property management, legal support, collections, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with property management software
  • Experience with eviction processes
  • Conversational Spanish
