Job Summary
Resident Support Associate (RSA) — full-time, 2nd shift, in Cleveland, OH — maintains a safe, clean environment and provides trauma-informed support to residents. Responsibilities include assisting with self-care, supporting residents in medications as prescribed, documenting progress for the treatment and housing goals, completing shift reports and logs, warming and serving meals, performing housekeeping/maintenance to ensure safety, enforcing infection control practices, following fire and safety drills, and escalating emergencies to the treatment team. Must complete core trainings within 60 days, communicate respectfully with residents, alumni, staff and visitors, and uphold HIPAA/privacy. Minimum qualifications include being 18+, a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience or willingness in trauma-informed care; preferred experience with homelessness and behavioral health; ability to move up to 50 lbs.; hourly rate ranges from $15.00 to $18.00.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of trauma or willingness to learn
- Must have experience working within a model of trauma-informed care or a desire to do so
- Must be committed to principles of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging
- Demonstrates skill in understanding cultural differences
- Motivated and energetic self-starter who is compassionate, reliable, and responsible
- Previous experience working with persons experiencing homelessness and behavioral health issues, including mental health and/or substance abuse challenges
- Physical requirements: ability to move up to 50 lbs., to stand, walk and perform cleaning tasks
