Job Summary
Provide classroom coverage for teacher absences, including IEP meetings and scheduled needs, while following lesson plans or using provided Sub Kits to maintain engagement. Establish clear behavioral expectations, supervise learners during instructional and non-instructional time, and leave brief progress summaries for assigned teachers. Serve as an ambassador for substitute teachers by welcoming them, sharing campus routines, and acting as a resource throughout the day. Maintain a safe, structured environment and support consistency in expectations across the campus. This role requires a 30-day Substitute Teaching Permit and involves occasional physical demands including lifting up to 10 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- 30-day Substitute Teaching Permit
- Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Occasional or frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and reaching for extended periods of time
- Occasional computer work, including but not limited to typing
