Job Summary
Senior Big Data Solutions Architect (Resident Solutions Architect) responsible for delivering billable, end-to-end Databricks-based data engineering, data science, and cloud projects for clients within Professional Services. Responsibilities include designing reference architectures, scoping and delivering professional services work with input from customers, guiding transformational big data initiatives and 3rd-party migrations, implementing end-to-end designs, deploying AI applications, providing escalated technical support, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery meets customer needs, and contributing to knowledge transfer and best-practice adoption. Requires hands-on expertise in Apache Spark, Python/Scala, multi-cloud ecosystems, CI/CD for production deployments, MLOps, and strong client-facing skills. Travel ~20% of the time. Required Qualifications
- 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics
- Comfortable writing code in Python or Scala
- Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one
- Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals
- Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments
- Working knowledge of MLOps
- Design and deployment of performant end-to-end data architectures
- Experience with technical project delivery - managing scope and timelines
- Documentation and white-boarding skills
- Experience working with clients and managing conflicts
- Travel to customers 20% of the time
- Databricks Certification (Nice to have)
