Resident Services Specialist 2

Provide security and resident support in an emergency shelter. Responsibilities include maintaining safety and security of residents and the facility, performing hourly building checks and documenting completion, conducting in-house walkthroughs (house, dining, teen and play areas), de-escalation of volatile situations per agency policy, monitoring visitor access and logging, enforcing shelter regulations, understanding and executing emergency procedures (fire evacuation, utility shut-offs, power loss), distributing mail, maintaining organized workspaces, remaining at post until relieved, briefing incoming staff, supervising residents’ activities and ensuring timely adherence to curfews, supervising shift reports and daily logs, maintaining confidentiality of resident files, and meeting CPR certification requirements. Requires mature, responsible disposition with experience in social services and willingness to work the 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:00pm) and other shifts as needed, with reliable transportation.
