Job Summary
Serve as liaison and advocate with outside social and health agencies while planning and conducting after-school programs for resident youth. Establish and work with residents' groups to facilitate positive community relations, advising the Property Manager on overall service and recreation needs. Evaluate service programming as necessary and provide assistance with office duties. Maintain high interpersonal and organizational skills to work well with multi-cultural and multi-lingual populations, including low-income families, children, youth, seniors, and disabled individuals. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. This role supports the John Stewart Company's commitment to enriching the lives of residents in the affordable housing sector through cost-effective, compassionate service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Professional certification
- Two years or experience in supportive service area
- Experience working with low-income families
- Experience working with children
- Experience working with youth
- Experience working with seniors
- Experience working with disabled population
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work well with multi-cultural population
- Ability to work well with multi-lingual population
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Familiarity with planning activities
- Familiarity with locating outside support services
