Resident Service Technician

Job Summary

Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial products including printing, packaging, robotics, and cash recycling systems. Perform regular predictive and preventive maintenance inspections while managing parts inventory and service calls. Provide technical support for electronic, mechanical, software, and networking failures to determine cost-effective repairs that minimize customer downtime. Foster positive customer relations and act as a liaison between clients and internal departments. Respond to emergency and non-scheduled calls within established response time goals, including an on-call rotation up to seven days a week. Requires hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting with experience using diagnostic tools.

Required Qualifications

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • 2-year degree or diploma in electronics/advanced mechanics/software training
  • 1+ years related industry/equipment experience
  • equivalent combination of education and experience
  • strong electronics and mechanical background
  • understanding of computer program functionality
  • software troubleshooting skills
  • Associate degree preferred
  • Ability to use standard and specialized hand, power and diagnostic tools and measuring equipment, such as oscilloscopes, DMM, gauges, etc.
  • Requires lifting to waist seventy (70) pounds
  • Ability to use hand, power, and testing tools/equipment
  • Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions along with considering alternative and diverse perspectives
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, quantitative, and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to understand, remember and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to read and understand written procedures and diagrams for assembly and test
  • Ability to develop and implement solutions to assembly problem
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and be punctual
  • Ability to work as an integral part of a team
  • Ability to work in a loud environment
  • Ability to work in small, cramped areas
  • Ability to work in elevated environment up to twenty (20) feet
  • Ability to work in a controlled office, retail, and manufacturing environment

  • Ability to work in an environment with paper dust prevalent
  • Ability to work in an environment with cleaners and solvents used to clean machines
  • Ability to work in an environment with machines contain moving parts
  • Ability to walk and stand

  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl for periods of time
  • Must be available for weekend shifts
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
