Job Summary
Resident Services Coordinator role focused on helping resident families access local services and resources to improve daily life and life opportunities. Responsibilities include welcoming residents, building referral partnerships with local service agencies, linking residents to resources, assisting in eviction-prevention efforts with property management, tracking program targets and reporting outcomes, facilitating resident meetings and community activities, developing relationships to empower residents toward self-sufficiency, mediating conflicts when needed, and completing other housing-resident related assignments. Requires a bachelor’s degree in human services, 1 year of experience with low-income populations (or 3 years in community development), strong communication and interpersonal skills, computer proficiency, ability to multi-task, and experience with community organizing and diverse populations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human services or related field
- 1 year of experience working with low-income populations or 3 years in community development/community-organizing
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Competent computer and technology skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a sometimes stressful environment
- Experience with community organizing and social service systems
- Knowledge of local social service system or ability to quickly develop knowledge
- Understanding of diversity and cross-cultural issues
