Job Summary
Resident Quality Assurance Manager responsible for aligning quality culture with business strategy on Bechtel projects. Lead the Quality Management System certification/assessment, review project quality and execution plans, and drive quality culture, standards, programs, and processes. Develop and maintain the Quality Management Plan (QMP), coordinate QA staffing/budgets, review subcontractor/supplier quality submissions, oversee NCR/RFI/FCD/punchlist activities, and facilitate RCA to determine corrective actions. Role based in Reston with site time on projects in the U.S. and overseas; requires coordination with engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and operations to meet project goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (or international equivalent)
- 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience
- ISO 9001:2015 Certified Lead Auditor (IRCA approved) (required)
- Proven experience managing large-scale civil and power plant construction projects, specifically pumped storage generating facilities
- Technical knowledge across engineering, environmental science, procurement, construction, testing, operations, commissioning
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to develop and implement Quality Management Plans (QMP) and oversee subcontractors/suppliers
- Experience with quality audits, NCRs, RFIs, FCDs, and punch lists
- Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement
