Job Summary
Conduct on-site inspection work for environmental, water, sewer, and public works projects, verifying construction compliance with plans, codes, and regulations. Review and process contractor invoices, Requests for Information, and change directives. Prepare substantial completion punch lists and approve contractor shop drawings. Maintain inspection field and office data, reports, and systems using Microsoft Word and Excel. Requires a high school diploma or GED with three years of related experience and knowledge of civil engineering principles and municipal laws. Waggoner Engineering offers a competitive base salary, a $5,000 signing bonus, and a flexible hybrid schedule. Required Qualifications
- Graduated High School/GED
- minimum 3 years of related experience
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices and methods as applicable to a municipal setting
- working knowledge of applicable laws, standards and regulations relating to construction, inspection, and safety
- Considerable knowledge of public utility/works inspection methods
- Considerable skill in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications, and contract documents
- Ability to prepare, organize and maintain inspection field and office data, reports and systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Spoken and written fluently in English
- Strong writing, reading, listening and speaking communications skills
