Job Summary
Timely, effective repairs of machine components in the shop. Complete assigned jobs to meet flat rate times and re-do metrics; follow safety policies and procedures; document work orders, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW, and related paperwork accurately and timely; diagnose and troubleshoot problems and provide recommendations for repairs; test and verify correct operation of repairs and adjustments; apply general failure analysis to determine proper diagnosis; maintain required scores on the Technician Competency Matrix across technical, soft skills, and safety areas; operate the necessary tools and equipment (including forklift and/or manlift where applicable) and comply with MSHA/DOT and contamination control rules. Demonstrates professionalism, prioritizes and plans work activities, and maintains quality and safety in a demanding mining-equipment maintenance environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate Degree in Diesel Technology or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work
