Job Summary

Oversee day-to-day property operations for a 43-unit senior and disabled housing complex, including rent collection, work order management, move-in/move-out processing, and resident file maintenance. Supervise the Maintenance Technician and delegate tasks while monitoring community appearance and ensuring repairs are completed promptly. Manage accounts receivable and payable, prepare weekly/monthly reports, and develop the annual operating budget. Conduct applicant interviews from the waiting list, support residents through recertification, and lead emergency response teams for community safety. Train new staff, foster a positive team environment, and implement resident retention programs. Ensure compliance with California landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and affordable housing programs. Lead the emergency team for community safety and handle all community emergencies.

Required Qualifications

  • Affordable housing or permanent supportive housing experience
  • Achieve Fair Housing certification prior to interaction with prospects or residents
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License, reliable transportation and current auto insurance coverage
  • Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations
  • Be able to work evenings and weekends on call as needed
  • Present self in a neat, clean and professional manner at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community or representing the community
  • Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the Employee Handbook
  • Candidate will be required to pass a background and drug screening

Desired Qualifications

  • College degree preferred
  • Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred
  • Position requires a minimum of 2 years on-site as an Assistant Community Manager; will consider 3 years supervisory experience in a customer service related business with appropriate certification(s) and/or prior experience as Community Manager
