Job Summary
Manage all operations for an assisted housing community, including rent collections, tenant relations, occupancy tracking, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. Enforce rental policies, process applicants per the Tenant Selection Plan, and ensure 100% completion of semi-annual unit inspections and annual recertifications. Maintain accurate tenant files, submit monthly occupancy and accounting reports, and develop positive relationships with local government agencies. Position includes a one-bedroom unit. Requires a valid California Driver's License and own vehicle for work. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off, and education reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be highly organized
- Must be able to make quick but reasonable decisions
- Must have a valid California Driver's License
- Must have proof of current vehicle insurance
- Must have a driving record that meets TELACU Industries insurer's criteria
- Must be able to use own vehicle in the course of work
- Must have foundational computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook email, Word, and calendaring) and the Internet
- Must have foundational computer skills including OneSite user CashPro experience
- Must be able to exercise discretion and confidentiality in relation to managing the community
- Must demonstrate integrity, respect and responsibility in dealing with residents and other employees
- Must be able to sit for 6-8+ hours per day
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel (computer operation)
- Must be able to stand for up to 3 hours per day
- Must be able to walk for up to 3 hours per day
- Must be able to stoop/bend
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred bilingual and fluent in the language of the community in which they will serve (written and oral)
- Two years managing assisted housing for elderly and/or physically challenged developments under the HUD Section 202/8, 202 or 811 Program
- Onesite and Yardi experience
- ADP WorkforceNow user
