Job Summary
Manage Fayette Hills Unity Apartments by maintaining full occupancy, collecting rents, and resolving tenant complaints. Complete HUD monthly reports, coordinate maintenance workers, and conduct move-in/move-out inspections. Show apartments, fill lease forms, and arrange necessary repairs and painting. Monitor laundry and vending machine collections, submit bill requisitions, and attend Tenant Council meetings. Answer emergency calls, assist with fire alarms, and support program participants. Work 28 hours per week as a part-time resident manager on-site.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years housing management and/or supervisory experience
- Knowledge of construction and building maintenance practices, particularly with air conditioning, electrical, carpentry, and plumbing
- Knowledge of the structure and practices of organized labor
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and the community
- Ability to plan and work effectively
- Ability to communicate effectively with tenants
- Ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds with or without an accommodation
- Required minimum traits to meet the responsibilities of the position
- Must reside on-site
- Valid driver's license
- Adequate transportation to perform this job (personal ownership of a reliable vehicle or leasing of a vehicle)
