Job Summary

Resident Manager resides at the Alston Wilkes Veterans Home during scheduled hours and provides on-site supervision of residents’ daily activities, facility maintenance, meal coordination, vehicle maintenance and safety. Duties include ensuring adherence to Veterans’ Administration standards and agency guidelines, supervising residents and safety, documenting house operations, enforcing household rules, assisting residents with quarterly community service outreach, conducting random room inspections to discourage contraband, administering random alcohol and other drug screens, coordinating with the Facility Director to maintain building health and safety codes, replenishing supplies, performing routine vehicle checks, supervising quarterly outreach projects, answering phones, responding to emergencies, conducting monthly fire drills, and reporting to the case manager. Skills include effective oral and written communication; knowledge of issues affecting homeless veterans; facility management; and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prior Military experience
  • Valid Driver9;s License
  • Proof of Auto Liability Insurance if required
