Job Summary
Inspect, test, or measure materials, installations, or work for conformance to specifications while reviewing plans and site layouts to ensure compliance with contract documents. Notify supervisors of project problems and develop daily reports, logs, and charts detailing quality levels and inspection data for management review. Adhere to site safety, project plans, and specifications throughout all construction phases. Requires five to seven years of experience with a valid driver's license and proficiency in tablet or laptop use.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Valid driver's license
- Over five years up to and including seven years of experience
Desired Qualifications
- LADOTD certification
- ACI certification
- Heavy Civil: Roads, Bridges, Utility, and infrastructure experience
- Extensive knowledge of construction principles and methods
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to conduct inspections and make professional assessments of work
- Ability to read, analyze, and understand engineering plans and specifications
- Ability to effectively communicate with engineering and construction personnel about site activities and project progress
- Ability to write clear inspection reports on the condition of projects
- Proficient in the use of a tablet or laptop
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to acclimate to project management software or related software
