Resident Hair Specialist/Licensed Cosmetologist

Job Summary
Provide high-quality hair services for senior residents, including consultations, haircuts, styling, chemical treatments, and related services tailored to mature clients. Maintain a clean, sanitary salon space in compliance with health standards and State Board Guidelines. Educate residents on age-appropriate hair care, stay current on techniques for mature hair (perms, roller sets, teasing), and build meaningful relationships within the community. Part-time role with 50% commission-based pay and no nights or weekend hours.
Required Qualifications
- Current Cosmetology License (required)
- Minimum of 3 years’ licensed experience in cosmetology
- Experience working with senior clientele is preferred but not required
- Proficiency in haircutting, styling, and chemical services
- Strong attention to detail and sanitation practices
- Excellent communication skills and a caring, empathetic demeanor
- A genuine desire to uplift others through service and connection
