Job Summary
Lead roadway construction projects by interpreting highway, freeway, and multiuse trail designs, overseeing contractors on field changes, and verifying measurements and pay applications. Manage project schedules, review submittals, coordinate with field inspectors, and handle client relations and stakeholder communication. Take full ownership of projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence while monitoring contracts and managing personnel. Work onsite days, nights, and weekends as needed. Obtain relevant certifications and maintain proficiency in civil design software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Licensed EIT required
- MSHA training is required
- Experience working on multidisciplinary project teams
- Solid background in AASHTO roadway geometric design criteria
- Solid written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
Desired Qualifications
- Nevada PE License preferred
- Proficiency using Autodesk and/or Bentley civil design software preferred
- Drainage design and/or traffic engineering experience is preferred
- A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project assignment
