Job Summary
Manage field inspection teams and enforce contract plans for highway and bridge projects while overseeing safety, traffic control, and daily contract administration. Direct on-site construction staff, monitor work zone compliance with OSHA regulations, and review construction quantities and payrolls. Process monthly payment estimates, evaluate claims, and maintain logs for RFIs and submittals. Act as the primary liaison between the agency, design teams, contractors, and utility companies to ensure strict adherence to client specifications and DBE goals. Requires NICET Level IV certification or 10+ years of heavy highway construction management experience.
Required Qualifications
- NICET Level IV certification
- 10+ years of experience in heavy highway construction management
- Familiarity with NJDOT or NJTA design standards
- Familiarity with Construction Management systems (like Site Manager or Cap Ex)
- Familiarity with internal Contract Compliance procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to convey complex technical information to clients and team members effectively
