Job Summary
Conduct on-site inspections for heavy highway projects under New Jersey Agency contracts and oversee additional field inspection staff. Review cost estimates and project submittals while ensuring daily contractor operations align with contract documents. Coordinate with project managers, maintain organized project files, and perform office-related tasks when not conducting construction inspections. Travel to project sites as required and perform night work if necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Civil Engineering school
- Professional Engineering (PE) License or valid NICET III/IV Certification
- Experience performing construction inspection on prior New Jersey Agency projects
- Minimum of eight (8) years' experience as a Resident Engineer
- Advanced ability to read and understand Contract Documents
- Ability to pass a TWIC Background Check
- Ability to perform Night work, if required
