Job Summary
Evaluate customer design information against LEONI and Volvo Truck requirements while communicating directly with technical departments to clarify designs and resolve issues. Coordinate engineering changes and deviations, reporting status to internal and external parties. Identify cost and efficiency improvements through design for manufacturing or design to cost initiatives. Support design and quality activities including Design Review, DFMEA, and Design for Manufacturing. Represent LEONI in customer vehicle project teams, attend meetings, and support build phases and troubleshooting at assembly plants. Works at LEONI and/or customer locations with a willingness to travel. Requires an engineering degree, 3-5 years of automotive E/E design experience, and proficiency in 3D CAD and E/E schematics.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree (Mechanical/Electrical/Automotive)
- 3-5 years' experience in Automotive Electrical/Electronics Design
- Proficient English speaking and writing skills
- Microsoft Office Skills
- Good team work, interpersonal skills, & problem solving skills
- Willingness to travel
- Candidate needs to be authorized to work in the USA
Desired Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of 3D CAD tools and E/E schematics preferred
