Job Summary

Serve as CTS' on-site liaison at the General Motors Vehicle Engineering Center, bridging customer engineering groups with product design and application teams. Provide daily technical support for new product development, formalize specifications for assembly applications, and coordinate design reviews and product development team meetings. Manage project plans, track vehicle timing, and lead electrical packaging and bracket design studies while resolving design issues and performing trade-off analyses. Prepare 3D/2D drawings, interface control documents, and assembly plant training materials, then present resolutions to GM Engineering Management. Work the plant daily with weekly supervisor meetings to drive product success from design through preproduction launch.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering, product development and design
  • Experience with automotive companies and OEMs, ideally Tier 1 or 2 suppliers
  • Ability to understand customer standards, specs and requirements as they pertain to CTS products, capabilities and systems reporting metrics
  • A strong understanding of OEM product development processes
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with high levels of customer management and communicate back to CTS
  • Ability to travel as needed domestically and internationally
  • Applicants must have valid work authorization that does not now and/or will not in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with electromechanical products preferred
