Job Summary
Resident Engineer – Control Systems (ICSS) will lead design, development, modification, and evaluation of control systems components for LNG project facilities. Responsibilities include providing technical assistance to Control Systems personnel, coordinating with project functions and clients, approving Field Change Documents (FCDs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), guiding subcontractors during construction, clarifying engineering drawings and RFIs, and supporting commissioning and start-up of instrumentation and control systems. Requires bachelor’s degree and 8–14 years of relevant experience, proficiency with Honeywell ICSS configuration and troubleshooting (PCS, ESD, FGS), ICSS reuse library, and site Acceptance Testing. Must be able to manage field activities, ensure safety/quality standards, and work on-site in Lake Charles, LA with relocation support available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years total work experience (senior)
- Proficiency in Honeywell ICSS configuration and troubleshooting of PCS, ESD and FGS systems
- Experience with ICSS reuse library configuration
- Site Acceptance Testing experience
- Ability to manage a team of engineers from 3rd party package suppliers
- Strong problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of project control systems deliverables and field engineering practices
- Familiarity with regulatory codes, Bechtel standards, and construction practices
- Ability to conduct field walks and inspections under varying site conditions
- Must wear PPE and work in high heat/humidity environments
- Physical ability to perform field inspections (climbing ladders/scaffolding, etc.)
