Resident Engagement Assistant

Job Summary
Lead daily programs for residents across independent and assisted living, planning activities that foster social connections and wellness. Design and implement quality programming while documenting attendance and adapting materials to ensure participation for all abilities. Safely transport residents to off-campus excursions and maintain cleanliness of program locations and storage areas. Decorate spaces for holidays and seasonal events as needed. Collaborate with coordinators, volunteers, and staff to deliver person-centered services consistent with CARF/CCAC guidelines. Work Thursday through Saturday, 15 hours weekly, with occasional evening availability.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Drivers License
- Ability to report to work regularly and promptly
- Ability to work beyond normal hours when necessary
- Ability to read, write, and speak English for documentation and programming
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of residents, family members and others
- Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing various units of measure
- Ability to relate well to all residents, including the emotionally upset
- Ability to deal tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors and the public
- Knowledge of operation of audio visual equipment
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One year of related experience or training
