Job Summary
Perform complex on-site diagnostics, service, repairs, and maintenance on customer CLAAS equipment in both field and shop environments. Review and explain maintenance concerns directly to customers while documenting work orders and promoting service programs. Schedule daily assignments in collaboration with the Technical Support Center and maintain seasonal parts inventory through stocking processes. Maintain current mechanical knowledge of CLAAS and competitive products, read schematics, and safely operate large machinery. This full-time role requires extensive working hours during peak seasons, frequent auto travel, and weekend or evening shifts. A valid driver's license with a safe driving history is required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Valid driver's license with a verifiably safe driving history
- 3+ years' experience in a field service technician / engineering role working on agricultural equipment
- Prior experience in high visibility customer facing role
- Must be able to work efficiently and autonomously
- Must be able to safely operate large machinery
- Must be able to meet deadlines and handle a high volume workload in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to travel within region
- Ability to work with limited supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Ag Diesel Technology Degree highly preferred
- degree in Diesel Technology
- equivalent work experience
- Working knowledge of CLAAS equipment and parts
