Job Summary
The Resident Construction Inspector will work within the BV Construction group and will be involved in on-site project management and inspection of civil works, underground pipelines, pumping stations, and plants. The role includes reviewing schedules, evaluating contractor proposals, monitoring project progress, providing technical interpretations of construction drawings, overseeing submittals, managing project documentation, ensuring quality assurance, and maintaining compliance with safety and ethical standards. Candidates should possess a minimum of 7 years of field experience and an associate's degree in a construction-related discipline is preferred. The position requires physical capability to work in various extreme weather conditions, lift heavy items, and perform inspections diligently.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years field experience
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements including a background check and drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a construction-related discipline or craft apprenticeship preferred
- Certifications for concrete, compaction and civil tests preferred
- Inspection certification preferred
