Job Summary
Assist residents with daily life functions including hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, and ambulation while maintaining dignity and respect. Prepare resident rooms for admission, inventory belongings, and assist with packing during discharges. Perform personal care tasks such as brushing teeth, shaving, and eye care, while providing post-mortem care as needed. Complete documentation in Resident records and MOVE N software, report incidents, and ensure activity programming continues. Maintain infection control standards, clean rooms and bathrooms, manage laundry, and clear tables after meals. Answer call lights promptly and respond to resident requests.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to provide quality assistance to Residents in a professional and caring manner
- Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
- High school graduate, GED or active registry status on the Pennsylvania nurse aide registry
- CPR or first aid certificates
- Must complete 12 hours of annual continuing education
- Minimum age of 18
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of Residents, bending, stretching, standing and walking for extensive periods of time
- Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation without posing a direct threat to self or others
- Normal vision range and hearing ability
- Physically capable of performing this position
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in the care of elderly
- Home Health Care or Certified Nurses Aide certificate
