Job Summary
Conduct 24-hour supervision of a designated nursing home unit, managing resident care, human resources, and financial operations under the Director of Nursing. Monitor unit compliance with regulatory and hospital policies, oversee CQI programs, and ensure adequate staffing across all shifts. Implement service programs, resolve resident and family concerns, and deliver education as needed. Perform medication administration when directed and accept charge responsibilities as assigned. Maintain positive employee relations and model professional nursing standards while attending required safety training.
Required Qualifications
- 2 Year / Associate Degree
- Current registration as RN in NYS
- Minimum of 2 years of long term care clinical experience
- Current NYS License to practice as an RN
- BLS Certification
- Medium Work - Exerting up to 50 lbs. for force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects
- Occasional balancing, climbing, crouching, kneeling, lifting, pulling, reaching, stooping
- Frequent typing/clerical/dexterity, grasping, hearing, pushing, repetitive motion, seeing/monitor/computer use, standing, talking, visual acuity (color, depth, perception), walking
- Constant fit testing
- Accepts Supervisor assignment as requested
- Accepts charge responsibility as directed
- Performs medication administration in an efficient manner as needed
- Ensures adequate staffing for all shifts
Desired Qualifications
- 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of long term care clinical experience
