Job Summary

Provide personal care and engagement services to residents, including physical transfers, hygiene tasks like bathing and oral care, mobility support, and dressing. Answer resident call signals first, assist with toileting and perineal care, and transport residents to dining areas or therapy appointments. Monitor vital signs, intake, and output, applying dressings and supervising exercise routines while maintaining infection control protocols. Document all care accurately and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team through shift reports and staffing meetings. Ensure compliance with state regulations and the plan of care assigned by the primary licensed nurse.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current, active certification on the Georgia Nursing Assistant Registry
  • Successful completion of a state approved nursing assistant training program
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current certificate of training for successful completion of the five (5) hour initial fire safety training provided by the Rules and Regulations of the Georgia Safety Fire Commissioner
  • Must successfully clear a background check, TB skin test or x-ray, and health screening
  • Ability to lift more than 25 lbs routinely
  • Ability to lift more than 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to transfer 150 lb. or greater resident weight
  • Ability to sit 1 - 3 hours/day
  • Ability to stand 4 - 5 hour/day
  • Ability to walk 2 - 4 hours/day
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and/or twist repeatedly throughout day
  • Ability to climb stairs repeatedly throughout day
  • Ability to reach 3 4 hours/day arms shoulder level
  • Ability to use telephone 1 - 2 hours/day
  • Ability to work under pressure 3 4 hours/day
  • Ability to work rapidly for long periods 2 - 3 hours/day
  • Ability to use keyboard/computer, printer, fax, copier 1 - 2 hours/day
  • Adequate hearing and vision (with or without correction)
  • Ability to read
  • Ability to write
  • Ability to do mathematics
  • Ability to draw conclusions from written or computer-generated materials
  • Ability to analyze data or report information
  • Ability to implement recommendations by coordinating persons and/or other resources
  • Clear verbal articulation of the English language
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and flexible hours when necessary to meet the needs of our residents
  • Ability to follow Professional Dress Code policies as outlined in the employee handbook
  • Ability to adhere to Orchard's No Cell Phone policy as outlined in the employee handbook at all times

Desired Qualifications
