Job Summary

Conduct personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, oral care, and mobility assistance for residents while maintaining dignity and infection control protocols. Respond immediately to resident call signals, transport individuals to dining areas, and document vital signs, intake, and output accurately. Assist with toileting, wound care, and exercise routines under nurse direction, while participating in shift reports and care planning meetings. Provide engaging social activities and maintain a clean, orderly environment. Work evenings, weekends, and flexible hours as needed to meet resident needs.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current, active certification on the Georgia Nursing Assistant Registry
  • Must successfully clear a background check, TB skin test or x-ray, and health screening
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current certificate of training for successful completion of the five (5) hour initial fire safety training provided by the Rules and Regulations of the Georgia Safety Fire Commissioner
  • Must be able to work semi-independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, policies and employee manuals
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively in front of others
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations

  • Ability to climb stairs repeatedly throughout day

  • Ability to work rapidly for long periods 2 - 3 hours/day
