Job Summary
Oversee and coordinate all aspects of resident care, including daily activities, personal care and medical needs; develop and implement individualized care plans; coordinate nursing services with other resident services; maintain open communication with residents, families, staff and healthcare professionals; ensure regulatory compliance; monitor and evaluate quality of care; train and supervise direct care staff; address resident care issues promptly; maintain comprehensive records; participate in state/federal surveys; collaborate with Medical Director to assure quality of care; engage in continuing education and provide leadership for nursing personnel; foster a warm, patient, enthusiastic and calm environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active RN license in this state (BSN preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a supervisor in a healthcare setting
- Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to nursing care facilities
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records and computer documentation systems
