Resident Care Manager

Job Summary

Coordinate resident care plans, assess move-in needs, and lead staff orientation while managing care schedules and providing hands-on support. Mentor care staff and volunteers on dementia best practices, conduct interviews, and deliver performance reviews under the Director of Nursing. Facilitate resident-directed programming, participate in monthly calendar creation, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and infection control protocols. Work evening shifts on the floor, assessing nursing duties and promoting resident independence.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree and 2+ years of experience preferred OR 4+ years of relevant experience
  • CNA or CMT certification preferred
  • CPR or BLS certification preferred
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within a senior living community or healthcare setting preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in common digital tools and applications, including Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word), web-based platforms, electronic health record systems, and any HR-related systems as applicable
  • Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must be able to climb or balance
  • Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds independently
  • Must be able to lift up to 200 pounds with assistance
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and identify/interpret written information
  • Must be able to follow all infection prevention and control protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Must be able to stay current on all training and ongoing education initiatives
  • Must be able to actively pursue self-improvement and embrace opportunities for continuous learning
  • Must be able to work well with others and take direction from management
  • Must be able to take initiative with the capability to engage in conflict intervention and resolution for residents, families, employees, and others as needed
  • Must be able to complete a background check
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening
  • Must be able to participate in required health assessments (such as TB testing or physical evaluations)
