Job Summary
Resident Care Coordinator role in an Assisted Living setting requires hands-on caregiving and care coordination duties on the floor. Responsibilities include Scheduling, Managing call-outs, Caregiving, medication passing, assisting with new employee orientation, coordinating training for caregiving staff, and rotating 24-hour on-call coverage. Must have a current Medication Assistance Certificate if state requires it, 2+ years of experience passing medications and caring for elders, the ability to work across shifts as caregiver/med tech, multitask in a fast-paced environment, and strong English communication. Emphasis on compassionate, holistic care for residents and collaboration with professional and non-professional staff.
Required Qualifications
- Current Medication Assistance Certificate if required by state
- Minimum 2 years experience passing medications and caring for elders
- Willingness to work on the floor as caregiver/med tech across all shifts
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- English language proficiency (written and spoken)
- Assisting with new employee orientation and coordinating training for new caregiving staff
- Willingness to take a 24-hour call on a rotating basis
- Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, enthusiasm
- Ability to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel
- Critical thinking to solve problems and handle conflicts
