Job Summary
Provide personal care, companion care, nursing assistance and other assigned tasks to residents in Eskaton communities. Duties include direct resident care, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing), light meal preparation, escorting to medical appointments, scheduling and documenting care per resident service plans, assisting with mobility/exercises, helping with laundry and light housekeeping, and supporting residents’ independence while ensuring safety. May participate in activities and assist with pets as part of the resident’s care plan; adhere to HIPAA and Eskaton policies; maintain professional appearance and teamwork with the health-care staff.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Six (6) months’ experience in providing personal care in an RCFE or other long-term care setting preferred
- Valid/current first aid certification
- Knowledge in performing personal care services in a residential environment
