Job Summary
Provide personal care, companion care, and nursing assistance to residents in Eskaton communities. Assist with daily living activities, grocery shopping, errands, and documentation of care provided. Deliver bathing, showering, and dressing support while maintaining resident privacy. Promote independence through simple range of motion exercises and ambulation as directed by medical staff. Apply medical devices, collect specimens, and follow emergency protocols. Make beds, straighten rooms, and maintain organized care areas. Work in a residential setting with up to 50 pounds of force occasionally. Starting salary ranges from $20.65 to $25.75 per hour. Candidates must pass post-offer testing including background checks and drug screens.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient ability to communicate orally and in writing in the English language
- Valid/current first aid certification
- Must successfully pass Eskaton's post offer, pre-employment testing which includes a criminal background check, drug test, TB screen test and health screen
- All new hires are required to sign an arbitration agreement as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or G.E.D. preferred
- Six (6) months experience in providing personal care in a residential or long term care setting preferred
