Job Summary
Resident Care Associate provides direct care to seniors in Assisted Living and Memory Care, assisting residents with daily activities, implementing individualized care plans, documenting services, and supporting residents’ dignity and quality of life. Responsibilities include aiding mobility, performing care rounds, assisting with lifts and transfers, maintaining skin integrity, documenting daily care activities, reporting issues to the supervisor, adhering to safety and infection-control procedures, and collaborating with the Resident Care Director. The role requires compassionate service, ability to meet physical demands (lifting up to 50-75 pounds), flexible scheduling (including weekends), and certification or willingness to obtain relevant Direct-Care and CPR/First Aid credentials. The role emphasizes confidentiality, respectful interactions with residents and families, and participation in trainings and team meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Direct-Care or other state-specific certification required, or willingness to obtain
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain according to company policy
- Ability to fulfill both the physical and emotional needs of residents
- Upholds resident confidentiality
- Flexible availability, including weekends
- Proficient in using basic office equipment, including personal computers, to maintain high job performance
