Job Summary
Resident Care Associate for 2nd shift (FT/PT) at a senior living facility. Provide direct resident care including daily living activities, assist with lifts and transfers using proper body mechanics, respond promptly to residents and families, stay informed on individualized care plans, communicate effectively with residents, families, peers and supervisors to promote a homelike environment, uphold residents' rights and safety, perform duties in accordance with infection control and safety standards, and participate in safety drills and emergency plans. Must meet health requirements (annual TB verification) and be able to work variable shifts, arrive on time, and handle the mental and physical demands of caring for elderly residents. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English and relate to ill, disabled, or emotionally upset residents.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to move, lift, and transfer residents (minimum 25 pounds)
- Ability to meet health requirements including TB test
- Ability to adhere to safety and infection control procedures
- Ability to comply with attendance policies and facility policies
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information
- Ability to report abuse and safety concerns promptly
