Job Summary
Provide physical and psychosocial care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and ambulation. Conduct room checks, resident rounds, and monitor for environmental safety hazards while utilizing safe transfer techniques. Escort residents, coordinate internal transportation, and assist with personal correspondence or dining tasks. Document services on company forms and report changes in residents' physical or cognitive status, as well as any suspected abuse, to supervisors immediately. Maintain professional demeanor during interactions and respond to emergencies in a prompt, calm manner. Wash laundry, perform housekeeping duties, and operate medical equipment and office machines.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Satisfactory completion of the company Resident Assistant skills competency checklist
- Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases
- Lifting, bending, and pushing medication cart about residence
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Assisted Living preferred
